Sharing the Bunting Love

There’s a glimmer of sunshine as I sit with my laptop.ย  All is peace and quiet, as hubby is home early and he’s doing the childcare for a couple of hours.ย ย  So I’ve come to play in bloglandย  ๐Ÿ™‚

My bunting tutorial has been on my blog for many a moon.ย  And over the months, I’ve received lots of wonderful comments from people who’ve tried the tutorial and created wonderful bunting to decorate their homes, gardens, wedding venues or to give away as gifts.ย  I love that writing a simple tutorial about how to make something can lead other people to get crafty and create something wonderful of their own!ย  It makes me happy ๐Ÿ™‚

I often wonder what colours people have used for their bunting, or how it looks hung up for a wedding or to prettify a room.ย  So today I’ve created a Flickr Group where you can share images of the bunting you’ve made from my tutorial.ย  The photo stream is open for anyone to see, but to add an image or two you’ll need an invite from me.

So go ahead – be proud of your bunting creations and share images with other crafters.ย  Just imagine all those photos of jolly happy colourful bunting making everyone smile ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy days!

Lovely a bit more time off for you to enjoy. Just caught up with your other posts and seen you relax with the Good Life. Sounds perfect to me. My happy feel good is Darling Buds of May.

    Have a good weekend.

Thank you Lisa. I’ve never seen “Darling Buds…” so maybe I should add it to my DVD collection.
    Happy days to you, x

Mini Magic spotted the bunting on my computer screen last night and came dashing in saying ‘ooooohh gorgeous bunting’, then saw who it belonged to and just went ‘I should have known, that’s why it’s gorgeous’ xxx

  4. Josie Crafter says:

    That’s very sweet indeed !
Give the gorgeous girl a big squeezy hug from me ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m such a nerd…I didn’t look at the date of this post, and went rushing off to look at your Flickr photos, thinking there would be heaps of photos! Guess I’ll just have to make my own bunting and join your group to post a pic! I’ll be back to see what your followers put on there in due course ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Josie Crafter says:

Ah yes! I’ve just posted it this week ๐Ÿ˜‰
I hope you might post a picture too !

  7. Gina E. says:

    Hi Josie,
Well, I made some bunting, and even though it is only a short length, I am really pleased with it! Now I know how easy it is and how neat it looks, I plan to make more for my niece’s little girls. I’ll use pink gingham and girlie fabric! I went to post a pic on your Flickr group, but it wouldn’t allow me until I have your permission. So I emailed you to ask. What happens next?

  8. Kristina says:

I still haven’t made my own bunting, but it seems it’s high time to make one! I guess I won’t have time just now as the garden needs lots of love at the moment… but I will definitely return for your tutorial ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Josie Crafter says:

    Hi Kristina
Yes – same for me – the garden gets full attention now. But I wouldn’t have it any other way ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. what a lovely idea.. count me in… I am prepared to go forth and show my bunting effort – eek! with all the wibbly-wobbly machine work… what must I do now? (I have registered with Flickr). Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
